Passionate followers of Ariana Grande are calling for that a person who jumped a barricade and seized the actress during yesterday's Wicked: For Good debut be arrested or expelled from Singapore.

A widely shared clip reveals the Australian man pushing past camera operators and rushing toward Grande while the actors walked down a event pathway flanked by supporters.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo immediately wrested the surprised star away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being led away of the event by event staff.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram recently that he was "released after being taken in", though legal records revealed that he was due to attend court on Friday morning. It is not clear if he was formally accused.

Record of Event Invasions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Notorious Troublemaker", has disrupted a concert or event. His Instagram feed includes recordings of him disrupting other high-profile occasions, including rushing the platform at Katy Perry's Sydney performance in recently and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers event in the city last year.

"There needs to be action enforced against him as this is evidently a punishable act," stated an Instagram follower, in a reply to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his actions.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" a different Instagram user remarked.

Supporters Express Concern Over Ariana's Safety

Several followers accused Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had spoken of suffering from trauma-related anxiety after a suicide bomb attack at the conclusion of her May 2017 concert in Manchester, killing 22 people and wounding many.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" wrote another message on Instagram.

A number of fans also faulted security officers at the Thursday event for not being adequately prepared; while different individuals demanded digital services to remove Mr Wen's uploads.

Aftermath and Premiere Information

In footage shared widely, Grande looked shocked when she was touched by the intruder. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted reassuring her while Mr Wen was removed by guards.

Grande has remained silent on the situation, and the premiere activities carried on uninterrupted.

Many of Singapore supporters had waited to see the actors of Wicked

Hundreds of supporters had assembled in a crowd of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good international launch in a Singapore shopping center, including several who had stood in line for as long as eight hours before it commenced.

The film, to be released on the 21st of November, is the follow-up of a two-part version of the popular Broadway and West End show Wicked, which revolves around the unlikely friendship between two distinct sorceresses.

The production itself is a spin-off of the classic book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was dressed in a champagne pink glittering gown at the gathering while Erivo, who portrays the villainous character, wore a sleek black dress embroidered with roses.

They were accompanied by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the highest-grossing movie of 2024 in the UK, and earned 10 award recognitions, earning two for best costume and production design.
