Iran's military claims to have hit a American military facility in Manama, as the country executed operations throughout the Middle East in retaliation for a large-scale and ongoing offensive targeting the nation by the United States and Israeli forces.

Regional Interceptions

In other parts of the Middle East, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Kuwait - which all house US military bases - said they have engaged and destroyed incoming projectiles in their territorial skies.

In Doha, Qatar's defence ministry said it had successfully engaged a number of projectiles seemingly aimed at the Al Udeid Air Base, the largest American base in the Middle East.

IRGC Statement

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard declared it was attacking US bases and assets as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in response for the offensive on Iran launched by the US and Israel on Saturday morning.

That initial attack - executed at around 06:15 GMT - has so far targeted areas associated with the the regime, with US President Donald Trump encouraging the people of Iran to revolt against the government.

Additional Developments

In Israel, air raid sirens sounded across the country after the Israeli military reported it had detected an incoming Iranian missile barrage.

The defence ministry of the UAE said in a statement that the country has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"Emirati air defenses responded to the missiles with notable success and successfully intercepted a several projectiles," the statement continued.

Officials reported wreckage landed in a residential area in the capital, resulting in some property damage and the death of one civilian.

The United States Air Force operates from the Al Dhafra base, south of Abu Dhabi, along with the UAE Air Force.
