The House investigative committee has released a set of approximately 70 images from the estate of former convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

This represents the third disclosure from a larger collection of in excess of 95,000 photos the panel has secured from Epstein's estate. It features pictures of passages from the literary work Lolita scrawled across a woman's body, and redacted pictures of female foreign passports.

This disclosure occurs hours before the December 19th cut-off for the Department of Justice to make public every files associated with its probe into Epstein.

"These latest photos bring up additional questions about what exactly the DOJ has in its holdings," stated the senior Democrat of the panel, Robert Garcia.

Contents in the Images Released

Some of the photographs published on this week feature Epstein conversing with professor and activist Noam Chomsky aboard a private jet; Bill Gates seen next to a female whose identity is obscured; Steve Bannon sitting at a table opposite Epstein, and previous Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a evening meal.

These are the most recent high-net-worth, powerful individuals to be seen in Epstein's estate photos published by the House Oversight Committee - previously published photos also depict US President Donald Trump and former president Bill Clinton, as well as director Woody Allen, ex- US Secretary of the Treasury Larry Summers, lawyer Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and others.

Being pictured in the photos is is not considered indication of any wrongdoing, and many of the pictured men have said they were in no way involved in Epstein's unlawful actions.

In a press release issued alongside the image publication, Democrats on the US House Oversight Committee stated the Epstein estate did not supply explanatory details or timeframes for the images.

"Photos were picked to furnish the public with openness into a representative sample of the images acquired from the property, and to provide understanding into Epstein's associates and his exceptionally troubling behavior," the announcement reads.

The release also contains a number of images of excerpts from the Vladimir Nabokov book Lolita penned in dark ink across different parts of a woman's body, such as her upper body, foot, pelvis, and spine. Lolita recounts the tale of a adolescent who was manipulated by a older literature professor.

A particular quote from the book scrawled across a woman's upper body says, "Lolita: the point of the tongue traveling of three steps down the mouth to land, at three, on the teeth".

Additionally, there are a number of photographs of female identification and ID papers from states around the world, like Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.

The majority of the data on the documents, such as identities and birth dates, is censored but the House Oversight Committee stated in a press release that the travel documents pertain to "females whom Jeffrey Epstein and his associates were interacting with".

An additional image shows Epstein sitting at a desk closely in the company of three female figures whose features have been censored - a first has her palm on Epstein's upper body under his clothing, and another individual is crouching to look at a close-by device. Epstein can be seen to be helping the final person attach a piece of jewelry.

An additional image disclosed is a capture of text messages from an unknown person who claims they have been sent "several females" and are requesting "$one thousand dollars per girl".

Photograph Publication Occurs Before DOJ Due Date

The committee has thousands of images in its custody from the Epstein estate, which are "simultaneously disturbing and ordinary," its announcement on this week clarified.

The oversight panel first legally compelled the holdings of Epstein, who passed away in a New York prison in 2019 while facing trial on allegations of human trafficking, in August.

The photographs and documents the Epstein property gave to the panel are distinct from what is largely called "the Epstein files". That material are documents within the DOJ's possession associated with its separate investigation into Epstein.

In accordance with the recently passed law, which the President enacted in November, the DOJ has until the date of 19 December to release its documents. The scope of what is contained in the DOJ's records is unclear, and it's expected that much of the information will be extensively redacted, similar to the committee's materials
