Renowned Performer Pat Finn, a versatile actor, Known For Parts in The Middle and Friends, Dies at 60 Years Old.
American entertainer Pat Finn, who featured in popular programs such as Friends, Seinfeld and The Middle, has succumbed at the age of 60.
The skilled improv artist passed away at his residence in Los Angeles, California recently having undergone cancer treatment from 2022 onward, according to media reports.
"He considered no one a stranger - solely future friends he didn't know yet," his relatives stated in a announcement.
They continued that he had "lived his life fully - with zest and passion".
An Extensive TV Career
His debut TV appearance was in the George Wendt Show in the mid-90s, where he portrayed the lead character's sibling.
He also had a repeating character on Murphy Brown between 1995 and 1997.
He played the part of Joe Mayo in "Seinfeld" in 1998, portraying a host known to delegate unpleasant chores to his guests.
In the 90s and 2000s, he made guest appearances on numerous hit series, including:
- The King of Queens
- Friends
- That '70s Show
- House
He was most recognized for portraying the character Bill Norwood in "The Middle", featuring across eight series over nearly a decade.
His film credits include It's Complicated (2009) and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups.
A Life in Improv
Outside of his on-screen roles, Finn was a skilled improviser and worked as a teacher at the Colorado university, where he was a professor.
He was involved with a six-member improv team called Beer Shark Mice.
"He taught, supported, and inspired numerous pupils over the years and it's nearly impossible to find someone anyplace who has anything negative to say about him," his loved ones expressed.
Paying homage, peer actor Richard Kind said there was "no kinder, gentler, funnier, authentic human being you could encounter".
"Always positive, making those around him better and funnier. An excellent dad and person," he posted publicly.
Finn is leaves behind his wife Donna, his children, and his parents and siblings.
