Humid circumstances were expected to linger along significant areas of eastern Queensland this next several days as a low-pressure trough continued to pull in damp air against the coastal areas.

Tomorrow was expected to become the wettest day, with persistent severe weather risk anticipated across various areas of both states.

Safety Concern

Health officials cautioned that there was an increased chance of thunderstorm-induced asthma across the state's northern country region, especially given the current weather patterns.
